One-on-One Technology Assistance Form

One-on-one Digitizing Sessions are a service provided by the Learning Commons department to SU students, faculty and staff who need instructional assistance with video or audio projects (capturing, basic editing and exporting). The service is provided to library patrons as a self-serve or one-on-one session, depending on their technical needs.

This form should only be used to reserve assistance time with a staff member for support with equipment located on the 3rd Floor (G-SIC Lab), or 4th Floor listening area.

Please note that SU Libraries do not provide blank media, so please remember to bring your own. Blank media may be purchased at the SU Bookstore located next door to Bird Library in the Schine Student Center. For security reasons we are unable to store patrons’ personal files; all files created must be transferred to media (such as a CD), patron-owned external device, or uploaded to an accessible storage space.

Scheduling
  • Requests must be submitted at least 24 hours prior to reservation time
  • Appointments can be usually be made for Monday-Thursday 9am-8pm during the academic year, subject to staff availability
  • Sessions will conclude no later than 8pm, regardless of time requested.
  • The typical session is between 2-3 hours, depending on amount of materials to be processed
